Summary

Perform laboratory analyses/tests for intermediates/ finished products, raw and packaging materials to ensure the quality consistency of paints products in accordance with laid down specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates laboratory equipment and instruments and follows standard test procedures to safely analyze all raw and packaging materials and finished products.
• Monitor progress and record observations of all test analyses carried out.
• Records test results of evaluation of all raw material and finished product in the approved raw material, packaging and filling registers.
• Test trial samples and bulk supplies of raw materials to verify conformity to specifications
• Perform product re-validations in conjunction with SON.
• Carry out quality revalidation audits for retained samples and periodic warehouse audit samples.
• Ensures clean laboratory equipment and work area.
• Carry out daily pH evaluation of portable water in the premises and paint products periodically.
• Responsible for shelving the retained samples from production daily.
• Maintain safe workplace by obeying all HSE work regulations.
• Ensure that product samples request by CSE are serviced on time.
• Supports the investigation of customer complaints (including site or customer visits where necessary) by providing timely feedback, test results, and observations to the line manager.
• To support and participate in company-wide sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing energy use, paper usage, water consumption, emissions, and other environmental impacts.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 First Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other pure sciences.

Minimum of 3-years’ related experience
